GDPR/AVG and Privacy

This page tells you how the Dutch Aerospace Fund (NLF) handles information.

What data does the NLF collect and for what purpose?

The NLF collects data from students and educational institutions who submit (internship) projects and/or graduation assignments for one of the annual incentive awards. We also collect data on individuals who qualify for an honorary medal or diploma.

Through the contact form on this website, the NLF requests the name and e-mail address of the sender. We use these data only to respond to the message. Furthermore, the NLF uses only functional cookies on the website.

We use (personal) data and information on achievements, projects and graduation assignments to be able to award prizes and medals or diplomas of honour, either annually or occasionally, to (legal) persons who have contributed in a special way to aviation and aerospace in the Netherlands.

How does the NLF handle data?

(Personal) data arrive in the NLF's mailbox after filling in the contact form or via direct email. We keep these data for an indefinite period to be able to ask questions about entries and send messages about award ceremonies and other NLF activities that promote aviation and aerospace in the Netherlands. We do not share these data with other parties, unless there is a demonstrable reason to do so in connection with an award ceremony and the person concerned has given written permission for the sharing.

The NLF handles all personal and other data and information from students, educational institutions and partners confidentially. In doing so, we work in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming, AVG). This means that data is protected by a strong password on the NLF's wifi connection, computer systems and mailbox. We keep registration forms and files digitally. These can only be viewed using a password by an authorised person from the NLF.
